Test Cases - Flights

Following information should be displayed to the users in the flight booking flow. While some of the information is mandatory to be displayed, some other information is optional but suggested to show to the users for clarity. These test cases are in place to minimise the post booking escalations due to non-visibility of the important information.

Pre-Booking Flow:

  1. Fare Rules - Cancellation Penalty & Rescheduling Penalty along with the time limit till when these changes are possible - Mandatory
  2. Layover details - Mandatory
  3. Technical Stop if present - Mandatory
  4. Cabin Baggage & Check-In Baggage - Mandatory
  5. Class - Mandatory
  6. Price change pop-up - Mandatory
  7. Baggage change pop-up - Mandatory
  8. GST details input - Mandatory for SME/Corporate fares
  9. Refundable / Non-Refundable - Mandatory
  10. ​Meal / Baggage / Seat option(SSR) - Optional
  11. No. of seats left - Optional
  12. Travel Insurance - Optional

Post-Booking Flow:

  1. PAX Name - Mandatory
  2. PNR - Mandatory
  3. Flight Details - Mandatory
  4. Fare Rules - Optional

REFUND CRITERIA for Flight Bookings in LIVE environment

Please use below mentioned criteria to get Refund on LIVE bookings on cancellation:

Domestic Booking

  • Book PUBLISHED fares only
  • Book Refundable fares only
  • Selected airline should be a DGCA designated LCC airline
  • Travelling date should be at least 10 days from the booking date
  • Booking should be cancelled within 24 hours of booking creation
  • Passenger names should be real. Strictly do not use dummy names for the travellers e.g. test first, test adult, test child, test last name, test name etc. should not be used. Airlines will not cancel such bookings. Therefore always use real names for bookings in LIVE environment.

International Booking

  • Selected airline should be a GDS airline
  • Booking should not be under No Show
  • Booking needs to be voided on the same day of creation before 23:59 PM
  • There will be a charge of INR 550 per pax to void the booking
  • If the booking is cancelled after date of creation, the penalty charges will be applied as per fare rules
  • Traveller names used in LIVE bookings should be real. Do not use dummy names for the traveller e.g. test first, test adult, test child, test last name, test name etc. should not be used. Airlines will not give any refund on such bookings. Therefore always use real names for bookings in LIVE environment.

**Not following the above criteria will lead to non-refund of booking amount.
