Cancel

Use this API to cancel a confirmed booking. Cancellation charges depend on the cancellation policy of the rate.

Response Keys

Key	Description
requestStatus	Result of the cancellation request itself, that is, whether the request was accepted and processed. Note that this is not the status of the booking.
bookingStatus	Status of the booking after the cancellation request, for example `Cancelled`. Treat the booking as cancelled only when this value says so.
cancellationPolicies	Cancellation terms that apply to this booking. Each entry has `rules`, which show the charge for each time window.

Usage :

Call this API only for a booking whose status is Confirmed.
Check both requestStatus and bookingStatus. A request can be accepted while the booking is still waiting to be cancelled by the supplier, so read bookingStatus for the final result.
Show the customer the applicable charge from cancellationPolicies before they confirm the cancellation. You can read the same policy in advance from Rooms and Rates, Price Check or Get Booking Details.
If you are not sure of the result, call Get Booking Details to check the current bookingStatus.
