🌍 Search Locations API

The Search Locations API enables users to search for locations or hotel options along with their availability and prices.

Volt has meticulously mapped location data — including cities, airports, points of interest, and localities — to their corresponding geo-coordinates, incorporating polygons or multi-polygons where applicable, to ensure precise search results.

Search Locations: Response Keys

Key	Description
id	Unique ID of the location. Pass this value as locationId in the Search API (/api/v1/search) to search hotels in this location.
name	Display name of the location (for example a city or an area). Show this to the customer in the location suggestions.
type	Kind of location this entry is, for example City. {City, Hotel, Multicity,...}.
referenceId	Unique ID of Hotel. Pass this value as hotelId in the Search API (/api/v1/search) to search hotel.

Usage: Call Search Locations with the text the customer types, show the matching name values (with type as a label), and when the customer picks one, send its id as locationId/hotelId in the Search API. Do not send name or referenceId to Search.
