What is the provisional booking code? Does it mean the booking is confirmed?

No. When the Book API returns 200, you get a provisional booking code in booking_code (e.g. fdbjkzn). It means the booking is accepted and the seats are blocked, but TravClan has not confirmed it yet: status is CONFIRMED and internal_booking_status is PENDING.

The booking is confirmed after you send the traveller details and documents to your ACM and TravClan confirms it. TravClan then sends a final booking code to your webhook, which is different from the provisional code. See Booking Lifecycle.

Why did the Book API return 409?

The total_amount you sent does not match the current price. The response gives the current price in data.expected_amount. Read the package again with the Package Details API, recalculate the total and call Book again. No booking is made and no seats are blocked on a 409.

Do infants take a seat?

No. Seats (total_available) count adults and children only. Infants still pay the infant price.

Where do I send traveller names and documents?

To your ACM, quoting the same buyer_booking_reference. The Book API does not take traveller details or documents.

Can I cancel a booking through the API?

No. Cancellations are made offline: contact your ACM with the buyer_booking_reference and the booking code. Charges follow the package's cancellation_policy.

How often should I refresh package data?

At least once a day for all packages, since prices and seats change during the day. Also call the Package Details API again just before booking.
